I turned 5 this year. We had a big party for my birthday. Mumma and Big Guy asked their nieces and nephews to stay the night. We all stayed up late and around midnight everybody made lots of noise. I thought that was an odd thing to do, but oh well. I was tuckered out shortly after that.
I was standing on the back of the couch, like I do often, and Ryan - he's 3 - saw me. He couldn't believe that I got up there by myself! He asked Big Guy and Nick (he's 12) if they put me up there. Everyone told Ryan that I did it myself....so Ryan asked me. Yup. I did!
In January, Mumma went on another long trip without me. I was not pleased. I missed her a lot. Big Guy said something about Mumma to me, and I went a little crazy. Before she left, Big Guy took me to the spa and I got a bath and my nails trimmed. He also bought me a name tag. It says, "Spike Crazy Pup" on it. Ha! Like I'm crazy....well, maybe just a little. Look at my family. You can understand why!
One morning while Mumma was away, Big Guy and I were laying in bed, sleeping in late. I was waiting patiently for Big Guy to wake up. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was me laying there, facing him. I was so excited that he was awake, I gave him lots and lots of puppy kisses. :)
Another night, when it was really cold, I got out of bed when the heat kicked on, and went to my favorite place in the whole house...the carpet in front of the bedroom heater. Big Guy turned on the light, got up and picked me up. He put me back on the bed and told me to keep his feet warm and quit stealing the heat. Meanie.
When Mumma finally came home, I was SO VERY EXCITED to see her. I gave her lots and lots of puppy kisses and didn't let her out of my sight whenever she was in the house. Even though she didn't bring me back any presents...
I was a bit mad at her leaving me again, though, so about a week or so later, when Mumma and Big Guy weren't home, I tore the Christmas tree box a bit. There's no longer a handle on the box. That'll teach them...right?
Mumma has some photos to share...of course. Doesn't she always?
hmmm...what's this thing all about?

it's not moving.

Is there something up there I need to push?

How do I turn this thing on??

Maybe if i yell at it?
