I don't have photos to share, but I do have a few stories I want to mention.

Shawn took me to his parents' house one day last month. I had a lot of fun going for a long walk around the yard and seeing cows. Shawn even took me for a ride on the golf cart! That was great!

I went with Mandy to her work picnic last month, too. She doesn't have a photo, but there is one on her staff website. She is going to see if she can get a digital copy and share it with me. It's just a photo of the two of us sitting at one of the tables. I had a lot of fun there. I met a baby puppy named Maggi - she is a Jack Russell. She didn't like me much, and started growling when I wanted to play. I also met a lot of people who wanted to play with me, including an adorable little girl who kept bringing me stuff to play with, and wanted me to give her kisses.

Earlier this month, my Michigan Mommy stopped by and took me to Pittsburgh. I played with my cousins there, and with Adrien's fiance, Tony. I had a lot of fun with them. The next day, MM took Max, Heidi and I to our family's property in West Virginia. Max and I played Wild Wolves of the Woods. Mandy joined us there, and I went home with her. I was tuckered out, and slept the whole way home.

A couple of weeks ago, I found out that I like Wise BBQ potato chips. Mandy was eating some, and I was sniffing. She told me that I didn't like chips. I wouldn't leave her alone. So, she gave me one, saying "See. I told you that you don't like them." I sniffed at it. Licked it a bit. let it fall. Then gobbled it up. I then started begging for more! She said that it isn't a treat I will get often, if ever again, because puppies aren't suppose to eat potato chips. :(

That's about all for now. I hope it doesn't take me too long to post again!

Oh! Before I forget...Mandy said to tell all of you that she is looking for Halloween costume ideas for me. She did find a cute pink piggy costume, but it cost almost $20! She really liked it, though, because she calls me little pig.

Spike Appreciation Day - 2007

Shawn declared Monday, September 17, 2007 to be Spike Appreciation Day.

The day started out OK. I slept in, as usual. Then I moved to sleeping on Mandy's lap whilst she played on the computer. She started complaining that I smelled bad and that I was farting a lot (I was. A lot.). She couldn't do anything about the farting, but she could about my general smell. I got a bubble bath. Complete with rubber duckies.

I was toweled off and left to dry for a bit.

After I was dry, we left the house for Spike Appreciation Day activities. Our first stop was McDonald's, where I got to eat a whole 6 piece chicky nuggets. Yummy!! We then went to the pet store, where I picked out two new ropes. I also sniffed at some cats that were there. It was all fun.

We left the pet store and drove to the park. I was so excited, I could hardly contain myself. The part of Mill Creek Park we went to is a wetlands area. I had to be kept on a leash the whole time. That didn't stop me from sniffing everything, and piddling on whatever I thought necessary to mark! I also had fun rolling in the grass...and the goose poop that was everywhere. What can I say...I like smelly things.

There is a boardwalk through part of the wetlands. We walked to the end of it and back - not far - looking into the water.

We came home after the park. I played with my new ropes and decided to nap for a bit. After a while, Mandy decided it was time for the second bath of the day. I did not appreciate that!

I've had enough of this


Mandy toweled me off, and I curled up in a towel on her lap. I was dog tired, and slept like a log for the rest of the night.

It was a great day. I can't wait for the next one!!

September - Leaving Michigan

Mandy and I went to Michigan for a long weekend. The day we were going to leave to come home, I jumped in the car while Mandy was packing it up. When she finally got me out of the car, I jumped into the trunk! Here I am hiding in the trunk of the car.

Here I am on my bed, ready to party hardy for all the August and September birthdays. Mandy and Shawn know A LOT of people with birthdays in those months!!
