We had a lot of fun Christmas morning! Mandy and Shawn brought me back to Michigan. Max and I even opened gifts. I had to show everyone my new football, too.

I love my football

I use to have a stuffed hedgehog. I would sometimes cuddle with it and sleep. Mandy would call it my baby. After several months, I ate it. Mandy yelled, "Spike! You ate your baby!!" She should have known it would happen eventually!

About me

Hello, my friends - both of the four-legged and the two-legged varieties. Welcome to my very first blog. One of my family members – Amanda – has a blog. She thought that since I spend so much time on the computer when I am visiting her and Shawn in Ohio, that I should start one as well. So, here we go!

I have a large family. My parents live in Michigan, near Detroit. They have three daughters – Amanda, who lives with her husband in Youngstown, Ohio, Gretchen, who lives near them in Michigan, and Heidi, who lives at home. I also have a big brother, Max.

When I was seven months old, I was adopted from the Humane Society in August 2003. My brother Max was adopted from another shelter when he was 6 weeks old – in December 2002. We use to get a long really well, but now we just get on each other’s nerves.

When Mandy and Shawn moved back to Ohio, they missed me a lot! About a year after they moved, I started visiting them. Last year I spent five whole months with them. This is called the Puppy Exchange Program – or PEP. While I visit them, I keep in touch with my mommy and daddy by sending them email messages. Sometimes I send photos, too.

I have lots of things that I like, such as:

• My Fido Football
• My tug rope
• Any toy that makes a BOOOOIIIINNG sound
• Cheese
• Chicken
• Pepperoni
• Any Meat
• Catching snowflakes
• Being squirted in the face with the hose (I try to catch the water)
• Kittens – and not to eat! I like to snuggle with them.

I have a few things that I don’t like, such as:

• Rain
• Traditional dog treats
• Plain eggs – gotta add some cheese to them!
• Sharing Mommy with Max
• Being cold
