I am a lazy puppyboy. I sit at home all day, but still never manage to post on my blog.
I do sometimes play on Facebook, though. :D
A couple months ago I scared my Mumma and Big Guy really bad. She woke up for work and I was breathing odd – more than usual. And I had blood on my nose! She got me to the doctors and they took blood and x-rays and gave me shots. I had a respiratory infection. When Mumma brought me home, I was so listless that she had to carry me out of the van. Later that night I tried to jump on the couch and I missed. When we went to bed that night, she had to carry me to bed. I stayed in the same spot all night. It took a few days before the spark returned to my eyes and I had the energy for even a mini-freak out. When I went to the doctor’s office, I weighed 26 pounds. I now weight 23.4 pounds. Mumma thinks I lost the weight when I was sick.
A few days ago I had to go to the doctor’s again. This time I got shots to I don’t get sick from rabies. One of my eyes has been a little swollen and very watery, so the doctor gave Mumma and Big Guy some goopy stuff to put on it twice a day. I don’t like it much, but usually Mumma gives me some puppy crack after putting it on my eye.
I went on vacation for two weeks in June and visited my family in Michigan. Mumma and Big Guy met my Michigan Grandma and Aunt Heidi on July 4 and brought me home. Everyone in Ohio was so happy to see me that we had steak dinner at my Ohio grandparents’ house and then saw fireworks at the park that night! For a little bit I barked and tried to catch the fireworks, but I eventually calmed down and just watched the show. The next day I was so very tired – it was really hot out the day before – that I slept all day long.

Lazy boy, checking in

I'm a lazy puppyboy. I know this. Mumma knows this. Even the Big Guy knows this.

Big Guy told Mumma that I need a Facebook page. Mumma said I can't have one until I start writing on my blog again. I really think a Facebook page would be cool, don't you?
I've been busy over the last year. I have spent a vacation or few in Michigan, with my Michigan family, and even a long vacation in Pittsburgh with family there. I went to the Finnegan family reunion in SW Pennsylvania, and went camping several times "Up on the Hill" - my human family's property in West Virginia.
This summer we discovered a great dog park about 30 minutes from our house. There is a lake for me to swim in, running water for dogs and humans and lots and lots of toys to play with. There's also a lot of trees to mark. I LOVE the dog park. We usually stop and get ice cream after the dog park. The first time, though, I was too tuckered out to even eat my puppy ice cream sundae (it has two dog biscuits in it).
Recently I had a doctor appointment. I was given a clean bill of health. Mumma said I can't gain any more weight, though. While I am a very healthy puppy boy, I do weigh 24 pounds. This is great for my size and breed. Mumma just doesn't want to pay more for my heartworm medicine.
Big Guy is still gone a lot. I miss him when he is on the road. One day I would love to go with him, though Mumma and Big Guy both say that I would just sleep the whole time. Only when I'm not trying to catch the windshield wipers!
Mumma has started selling candles. I told her that I would mention it on the blog, since if she makes money that means more treats for me! So, check out her candle site and buy some great stuff.
Someday soon (I swear) I will post some photos from the past year. Until then, lots of love and wet puppy kisses to everyone!!

a long overdue update
My Aunt Lisa came to visit this past weekend. She sat me down and chatted with me about not updating my blog. I know. I’ve been a lazy puppy boy. So I’m finally updating.
Halloween was good. We didn’t have a lot of trick or treaters, though. Mumma shared my puppy crack with a few puppies that were trick or treating with their humans. She didn’t ask me first, though.
I tried a couple of different costumes before settling on one of my Halloween themed bandanas. Mumma took photos of me, of course.
First I was going to be a lobster.
Then I tried to be a spider:
Big Guy goes on the road for work a lot. I miss him when he is gone. He says he misses me too. Sometimes Mumma lets me talk to him on the phone. I give it kisses, but it’s not the same as giving my Big Guy kisses.
A while back, Mumma was playing a song on her computer while I was on her lap trying to sleep. Since I couldn’t sleep, I decided to sing along. Mumma of course took a video of it. Why she does stuff like that, I’ll never figure out. But, since she did, I’ll share it with you.
Tonight, Mumma and I went for chickie nuggies. The last one that Mumma gave me, I decided to "bury" it on the couch. After I put it on the couch, I covered it with a blanket. Mumma wasn't happy of course, and she "dug" it up and gave it to me, telling me to eat it or else she was going to throw it away. I ate it then. Couldn't let a good chicken nuggie go to waste.

She tossed to me a piece of a chicken tender, but it went under the entertainment stand. I was trying to get under the stand! I even moved all the board games stacked up beside it. There were about 10 games.
Then, I walked over to Big Guy to tell him, "Big Guy, my food is stuck under the stand! Help!"
So, Big Guy got on the floor, using Mumma's cell phone as the light to look under the stand, and I was next to him, looking under too.
Mumma said it was too adorable.

How about some photos, to make up for me not posting for nearly two months?
Mumma took this photo in February for a photo challenge. The them was body parts.
Another photo for that challenge:
In mid-March, we got another snowstorm. Not only did we get several inches of snow, but also ice, and then a layer of snow to finish it off. I could walk on the snow without falling through! Mumma, of course, had to take lots of photos. Here are just a few:

Aren't I adorable?
A couple weeks ago, Mumma, Big Guy and I went to Michigan to see the family for the Bunny Holiday. We took a long route...first going to Columbus (a 3 hour drive) and then to Detroit (another 3 hour drive). We had a 3 hour layover in Columbus, while Mumma had an interview. Big Guy and I drove around and then we found a park. As Big Guy told Mumma, I "went for a W A L K in the P A R K and went P O O P on the trail." That was a LONG trip. Overall, I was in the car for about 11 hours.
When we came home from Michigan, the car was packed to the max. I had to lay on Mumma's lap the whole ride home. We stopped in Toledo and Big Guy filled up the gas tank and cleaned the windows. Of course, I love to try and catch the window wipers when they are going, so you can just imagine what I do when someone is cleaning the windows at the gas station. I go a little crazy.
Mumma took some pics afterwards. I was sitting in the back window and watching Big Guy, who had gone inside the store.
